Here are few reminders for one of the most important events in fishing, the hook set.
â€śIf the lure drops-twiceâ€¦ You might need a hook set.â€ť
â€śIf the line turnsâ€¦ You might need a hook set.â€ť
â€śIf you are fishing with soft â€“ plastics on the bottom and feel a thumpâ€¦ count to 2 and you might need a hook set.â€ť
â€śIf you have been in contact with the bottom and suddenly donâ€™t feel anythingâ€¦ you might need a hook set.â€ť
â€śIf a mostly taut line get really slackâ€¦ you might need a hook set.â€ť
My son recently felt a smallmouth fight briefly, but he never set the hook and it quickly shook off. â€śI thought it was just a rock,â€ť he explained.
