Fishing Tips : How to Make Soft Fish Bait

Today I'm going to teach you how to make a soft bait Generally soft baits are used for catfish or carp

And this is one of my favorite recipes for catfish, it's called a dough bait This basically is what we're going to end up with Very moist and it stays on the hook for a long period of time So the recipes goes like this: use half a cup of flour, and a half a cup of corn meal, and you're going to use a quarter cup of Karo syrup, and three heaping tablespoons of peanut butter What you're going to do first is you're going to put the Karo syrup, the peanut butter, and about a quarter cup of water into a small pot

You're going to heat it up on the stove on low heat for until it gets warm, and all the peanut butter dilutes into the mixture Then you're going to mix the flour and the cornmeal together outside of that, and then you're going to stir it in a little bit of it at a time Until it gets the consistency of a dough, where it gets kind of hard to stir And then you're going to let it cool down And once it cools down you're going to take some cotton balls, probably four or five of them for that mixture

And you're going to spread them apart, and mix them into the dough itself And what that does is make the dough firm up, and it will stay on the hook longer And then after you let it cool you take some out when you're ready to fish, take a little out, see is this is consistency here, and you make a little ball of it, put that on your hook And there you go you've got instant catfish bait
