Central Florida fishing forecast: Sept. 21

Move to deep waters on Lake Fairview for bass.

FRESHWATER: Use plastic frogs and popping lures around docks and points on Lake Fairview at daybreak for bass. Switch to deeper waters and drop-offs at mid-morning. Senkos, Carolina-rigged plastic worms and flukes and plastic worms under a drop-shot work well.

Ponce Inlet has been good for a nice variety.

SALTWATER: Cast Got-Cha plugs, Gator Spoons and hard jerkbaits into the surf from the jetties on the Daytona Beach side of Ponce Inlet for Spanish mackerel, bluefish and shots at redfish, tarpon and snook. If there are plenty of mullet in the area, expect plenty of action. Jacks, ladyfish, bonito and sharks will be in the mix.
